You control the special armored vehicle INTER-GRAY.
Advance through the stages while shooting down enemies.
You can clear a stage by either destroying the boss, or survive until the boss escapes/self-destructs.
After clearing a stage, you choose between two possible stages to proceed to.
Your primary goal is to clear four successive stages, but there is a hidden fifth stage that can only be reached through meeting certain conditions.

GEAR SYSTEMギアシステム

GEARシステム

Destroying enemies fills up the energy indicated by GEAR Gauge.
GEAR Gauge is segmented into five levels, each of which in turn consists of five points.Reaching a new level powers up INTER-GRAY.
Having more energy lets INTER-GRAY to fire its normal shots more rapidly, and increases the number of homing shots it fires simultaneously.
Pressing the GEAR Change button on your controller transforms INTER-GRAY into its GEAR Form (the robot form.)
While in the GEAR Form, INTER-GRAY fires homing shots instead of the normal shots, consuming the energy in the GEAR Gauge.
INTER-GRAY turns back to the vehicle form when you press the GEAR Change button again, or when you use up all the energy.
